Dr. Gregory Fischer has spent his career developing innovative technologies for image-guided surgical interventions. He is a pioneer in MRI-compatible surgical robotics capable of utilizing real-time images from inside the body to guide precision robot-assisted interventions. Dr. Fischer is a Founder of AiM Medical Robotics, a company leveraging technology from his team's research to revolutionize the neurosurgery experience. Dr. Fischer has been a Professor of Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and PI of the Automation and Interventional Medicine Robotics Research Laboratory where his research has focused on medical robotics, specifically the use of real-time feedback to guide surgical procedures. He was the Founder of the PracticePoint Medtech R&D Center for Healthcare Cyber-physical Systems, an MA state-supported Medtech accelerator with advanced point-of-practice clinical testing facilities including an OR and 3T MRI suite dedicated to research and product development. Dr. Fischer is also a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors. 

Dr. Fischer holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, an MSE in both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Julie G. Pilitsis, MD, PhD, MBA, is Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Arizona Tucson and the Physician Executive for Functional Neurosurgery for Banner Health System. She is also co-founder of AiM Medical Robotics and is Chair of the Medical Advisory Board. Previously, she served as Dean of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and Vice President for Medical Affairs Strategic Initiatives at Florida Atlantic University where she led the FAU Health Network initiative.  Dr. Pilitsis also previously served as division chief of functional neurosurgery and chair and professor of the neuroscience department at Albany Medical College in New York. Over these roles, Dr. Pilitsis has maintained a busy functional neurosurgery practice and built a program from the ground up at each institution where she worked. She maintains an NIH sponsored research program focused on device optimization for neuromodulation with three active grants and has published over 250 journal articles, five textbooks, and numerous chapters. She was the president of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), a 2000-member organization in 2023. She is the president of the American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (ASSFN) from 2024 - 2026. She was previous chair of the AANS/CNS Section on WIN and on Pain.

Andy Aberdale began his career with GRACE Specialty Chemicals, spending 12 years rising through the manufacturing ranks to ultimately oversee operational elements for 72 chemical production facilities worldwide.

For the past two decades, he has focused exclusively on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, specializing in scaling early-stage startups through to commercialization. Joining most ventures as an early employee, AiM Medical Robotics marks his seventh startup. His track record includes taking two companies public on the NASDAQ and NYSE via traditional IPO and SPAC vehicles, and orchestrating the successful private sale of four others to strategic buyers and private equity firms.

A driver of leveraging non-dilutive financing to maximize enterprise value, his past achievements include scaling a company entirely on debt to a $260M exit in 26 months, as well as securing more than $750M in domestic and international grants for a single venture. His core expertise lies in operational and financial scaling, team building, and driving high-value corporate growth.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of California.  An experienced corporate governance leader, he has served on numerous boards as a director, committee chair, vice-chair, and board chair.

In addition to being and Indepedent Board Director for AiM, Joe is also the  President and CEO of Triple Ring Technologies, a company specializing in accelerating growth and innovation at the intersection of engineering, biology, and medicine. With over 20 years of leadership in medical device research and development, Joe has extensive expertise in complex system design, imaging technologies, and signal processing. Previously, he served as VP of Engineering at NexRay and Signature Bioscience, driving development of advanced imaging and spectroscopy instruments. Joe holds a BS in Physics from MIT and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Under his leadership, Triple Ring partners with science-driven entrepreneurs to solve challenging problems and launch breakthrough medical technologies.

Rachel is a seasoned operations and strategy executive with over two decades of experience driving institutional and organizational transformation. As Chief Operating Officer at AiM Medical Robotics, she leads daily operations, implements scalable business processes, and oversees strategic execution to ensure efficiency, compliance, and innovation. Prior to joining AiM, Rachel spent 22 years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in progressively senior leadership roles, most recently as Associate Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, where she led university-wide strategy deployment, analytics, and large-scale organizational projects. Her expertise spans operational excellence, business process improvement, program management, and cross-functional team leadership in both academic and technology-driven environments

Professor Jonathan Sackier is a physician entrepreneur with a diverse background, including clinical practice, academic work, and education. He serves as Chief Medical Officer of AiM Medical and has prior experience in the field, having helped Computer Motion, which built the world’s first surgical robot (AESOP). This eventually merged into Intuitive Surgical to become the largest surgical robotics company in the world, and Sackier also worked on In Touch Medical and other robotics enterprises. Dr. Sackier has also served as a Visiting Professor at Oxford University and as a Professor at George Washington University.

Jonathan graduated in medicine from Liverpool University and completed Fellowships with both the Royal College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has practiced on both sides of the Atlantic, published extensively, and been honored for his work globally.
